Voice Professional Switzerland

The Swiss Association of Professional Voiceover Artists was founded in 1990 and consists of about 265 voiceover artists. The association’s goal is the protection of the interests of its members. Amongst others these include the following: continued education and professional formation, representation towards other associations, standardized relationships with partners, i.e. studios, producers, advertising agencies as well as legal consultants.

Keeping a critical eye on digital developments

We are committed to ensuring that synthetic voices are only used with the explicit consent of the creators – and do not infringe upon their creative or personal rights. That is why we call for:

a clear obligation to label artificial voices
the right to control one’s own voice
a moratorium on voice cloning until legal and ethical issues have been resolved
